xfce4 session crashes upon removal of a snap

Bug Description

sony vaio laptop xubuntu 18.04.2 i7 quad 4gb
when removing a snap my system crashes and comes back at the login screen.

 xfce4-notifyd: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.

This seems to be related to "udevadm trigger" that snapd does invoke in certain circumstances. Dear reporter: can you please provide us with the name of the snap you removed (so that we have less uncertainty as to our reproduction attempts).

I don't have a solution handy, I would like to understand our use of udev a little bit more. It is possible that some of the operations we perform are not really necessary and can harm the system.

sorry, i have since switched distros to manjaro and it does not have the
same issue.
