[Feature Request] Install Snap apps on custom locations (eg external disk drive)

Bug Description

This is useful for computers with low disk space.

For example, for some people it is difficult to install games or software of high size in computers with SSD of reduced space. This feature allowed you to install on an external disk and solve the problem. Windows and MacOS have always had this feature.

Thanks for your suggestion. It makes sense to allow this to be customized. You could do some trickery today by mounting /var/lib/snapd/snaps from a different place but of course that is relatively complicated.
