Cant create delta uploads using the snapcraft snap

I've been using the snap of snapcraft from edge for a while now and just encountered an issue when attempting to upload a snap to the store. It failed to make a delta to upload, here is the error:

Preparing to push 'example_1.11.2-1492070517_amd64.snap' to the store.
Found cached source snap /home/martin/.cache/snapcraft/projects/vscode/snap_hashes/amd64/0a070fb664cce320f153357016ab5e10b9e1e3db837c7767a83c69d0112da3590eee47b3c736d48d0c70142d4fcdd4b2.
Error generating delta: delta_tool_path must be set in subclass!
