Bug Description

It looks like snapcraft.yaml supports setting environment variables, both globally and per part.

However, it looks like this is completely undocumented. I stumbled across this only by doing Google searches:

Can we please add documentation?

These docs should obviously end up on snapcraft.io, but should they also be placed in the snapcraft docs folder? Sergio, where do we stand on that these days?
