Bug Description

Minor issue

okular 20.04.0 98 latest/stable kde✓,

shows two icons in the Application launcher in Ubuntu 20.04 and in Xubuntu 20.04.

One is relevant but the other is generic to executables.

The issue seems to be that there are two desktop files both pointing to "/snap/bin/okular %U". One of the desktop files, /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/okular_okular.desktop, has a proper icon.

The other desktop file, /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/okular_org.kde.okular.desktop, doesn't even have an Icon= entry.

A temporary user-based workaround that involves copying the files over to ~/.local/share/applications and adding "NoDisplay=true" to the presumbably redundant one is described in https://askubuntu.com/questions/1230835/why-is-there-two-instances-of-okular-and-how-do-i-get-rid-of-the-other-one/

I filed at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420694 which seems more appropriate.

Yeah, tracking this upstream is more appropriate, thanks chimak111. Marking invalid.
