Bug Description
In the latest daily build the snap store can't install .Deb packages and I think this was on all other versions with the snap store. I loved the migration from apt to snapd to default package installation, however some applications (like Google Chrome) don't exist as snaps.
If it was made on purpose for the snap store not install .deb files, then I'd highly recommend to ship Eddy with the LTS.

When I tried to install google chrome directly from the website it did not work. In this case firefox downloads the .deb package in a temporary folder with read-only permission. Probably snap-store cannot access that location!? But when I downloaded the .deb file in a directory and then double clicked it, it opened in the software centre and could be installed.
