Weird theme issue on Ubuntu 16.04 in latest/edge branch

Bug Description

I today updated snap-store snap on ubuntu 16.04 latest to edge channel, i have noticed a theme issue which makes the header bar of snap-store app take half of the screen, please see the screenshot i have attached.

snap-store version : 20200113.f52c1c8
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

I can reproduce this on 16.04 in a VM, but not sure what might be causing it. It may not be a theme issue, but a sizing issue with one of the widgets in the bar!?

I'm trying to build a local version of snap-store in 16.04 but that is quite tricky with all the dependencies using 18.04 versions!
