my personal solution was: "rm ~/snap/snap-store/common/.cache/gdk-pixbuf-loaders.cache" and it works! :D

This may still be the same issue previously (upgrade to 20.04 LTS) reported in bug 1870774 and discussed at https://askubuntu.com/questions/1248195/ubuntu-software-center-isnt-opening
