The application window has no borders, the background is completely transparent, but it does keep the three buttons of minimize, maximize and close.

hmm - no snap should behave like that. It should - IMHO - at least default to adwaita if it doesnt understand the theme being used.

Same problem here: Ubuntu Studio 20.04 Beta, XFCE 4.14
Problem occurs with any theme.
