The confined openstackclients snap work quite well.
Access to CA certificate is a small hurdle but manageable[0], it would be even nicer if the cert could live anywhere under $HOME.
Access to a user's ssh keys is however a bit larger problem.
A normal workflow for using OpenStack is to add ssh key pair for use when accessing instances. This is typically accomplished by running:
openstack keypair create name --public-key ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub
This is currently impossible but could possibly be allowed by adding the ssh-keys interface.
