no video recording on freya stable

Bug Description
So, I just installed the new version of freya (stable on the 11th of April) and my camera app, which came with the os, doesn't allow me to record videos. It only shows the "taking photos" option.
I'm not very familiar with this app, but I assume, from all the data i saw until now that it was suppose to enable video recording, right?
Please help.
