Bug Description

Steps to reproduce

1) Open IRC at New York high noon
2) Observe logged in users

Expected results:
A distinct lack of Sams.

Actual results:
Sams everywhere!

In fact this bug is very critical: since the bug appeared Unity keeps logging me out : saying the proper hours for sleeping are not set.

I think this is a bug in compiz. There's so much bling that it simulates solar patterns and thus the body is never able to adjust its internal clock.

So I think didirocks would not be capable to build Unity with this bug.

Update : Compiz with Paint-fire turn ON burns my GPU . Oneiric will not be released on time
may be the whole Distro is affected by this bug

So the Design team won't help us to design a proper work flow for Sams ? That just means Unity would stop running as it depends on Compiz.

Why is this marked "Fix Committed" in Compiz? I managed to reproduce this bug using irssi running on top of the latest linux kernel, latest Xorg from xorg-edges AND the latest compiz & unity from trunk! Sam was still online, so its definitely not fixed yet!

It's possible this bug may be automatically resolved by the time 12.04 is released. The solar status should reach a threshold that causes a steady feedback loop to avoid the symptoms described in the bug description...
