RTL issues in Slingshot

Slingshot does not seem to support 1024x768 display properly.

This is tesed on current Ubuntu 12.04 environment with Slingshot taken from the Oneiric branch.

Attached is an example when the locale is English.

Note how the right side (search box) is cut out.

Here's another example - this time an RTL language (Hebrew). Since the view is reversed, the search looks fine this time, but the categories line is cut.

After some Googling, I found out there's another ppa for Elementary that seems to be more updated than the one I used before - https://launchpad.net/~elementary-os/+archive/daily. With this one, there's apparently a completely new design of Slingshot (much nicer, by the way) - which does not cut category names in 1024x768 resolution.

Can somebody confirm that this is indeed the latest development snapshot of Slingshot - and if so close the bug?

I would like to update the description of this bug based on tests I did on the nightly build on elementary over Ubuntu 12.04.

Due to design changes in Slingshot, where the categories are now displayed vertically, the issue with the cut texts no longer exists.

However I have other issues as illustrated in the attached screenshot:

1. The triangle at the top of the screen no longer points to 'Applications'

Needed fix: Slingshot should be right aligned on the screen, and the triangle should move to the top right side of the screen

2. The app tiles seem to be cut - compare the width of the tiles on the RTL and LTR version; note the tiles next to the categories pane seem to be shorter in the RTL version

3. Slingshot can not be resized, thus not making optimized use of the screen (this is an issue likely to exist on the LTR version only)

Testing on the elementary daily build

Slingshot package 0.6+r271-0+pkg12~precise1

Issue #1 is still there:

Issue #2 seems to be resolved with the new design.

Issue #3 is still there (no way to resize window) but is lower priority.

This bug report seems to be against the slingshot launcher, rather than the slingshot game package. I'm updating the affects field accordingly.
