Lagging when opening/scrolling through pages

Bug Description
Ive had elementary for a while now and well this issue is getting gradually worse. Upon opening the slingshot menu the window can randomly take a while to open but other times be instant. This is the same for when scrolling through the pages/windows within slingshot as well with a stuttered scroll or a 1 second lag before doing anything.
My System is fairly powerful so i cant believe thats whats causing the issue:
