top desktop bar keep restarting whern trying to search for apps

Bug Description

My top desktop bar (that contains applications, date, sound, wifi, etc.) keep restarting when I want to search in applications tab. Please any lead or what do I need to check?

Can you give us some details about your installation? Which language are you using? Are you fully up to date? Did this issue appear after installing anything or making any kind of changes to your system?

I installed elementary OS in default state (nothing special).
I always check for updates every single day (because of application manager check it for me) and update it.
I'm currently using en_US.UTF-8 as my language.

I'm not really sure. But I tried to removerestart `xtreme-download-manager` from applications. Then I used alacarte (main menu) to remove it. The symptom did not appear in the first week (I have done this last week around monday or tuesday) and it just starting to appear yesterday.
