slingshot-launcher doesn't launch

nothing happens when either 'applications' is clicked, or shortcut win+space is activated. when slingshot-launcher is executed from the terminal:

$ slingshot-launcher

running freya, I recall it did work after the fresh install (beta 2), but noticed that it wasn't working today.

I can confirm this. Slingshot stops working and doesn't react on [Super] + [Space] or clicking on "Applications".

I confirm this bug too. I don't know why slingshot stops working today. I'm running Freya beta 2 with last updates

After reinstalling slingshot-launcher all is ok :
sudo apt-get remove --purge slingshot-launcher
sudo apt-get install elementary-tweaks pantheon-shell pantheon-xsession-settings slingshot-launcher switchboard-plug-pantheon-shell

Reinstalling the slingshot-launcher doesn't work for me, have I reboot the system?

It did not work for me once, I did a

killall slingshot-launcher

and it started working fine.

Marking as invalid since it seems to only occur for people trying to upgrade form Beta. Beta installs should never be used as production installs. A clean install of GM is required for a stable system
