Bug Description

When I opened the application menu in left top corner and typed some keywords in the search bar, the whole OS crashed and everything including all the applications opened and the dock become not responding. I have to press ctrl+alt+F1 to enter command line, and kill the process of Xorg in order to restart the x window. This issue occurs all the times.

Hi, I found that this issue may be caused by some conflicts between Slingshot-launcher and iBus-deamon. Would some devs please help me to solve it? Thanks.

When this issue occurs, It can be observed that the CPU utilization rates of both Slingshot-launcher and ibus-deamon go above 50%. I have to kill either of these two processes in order to recover the desktop.
