A useful feature for visually-impaired users?
1. Insert page into scanner
2. Press button in simple-scan
Page is scanned and read out to user
Are the current OCR solutions good enough to understand what the page said?

Perhaps this project could be used for the OCR part https:/
I haven't tried it but it seems to be under active development and it supports a lot of languages.
