Segmentation fault during photo scan with Brother MFC-J740DW

I tried to scan in photo mode with my wireless attached Brother MFC-J470DW. The scanner gets active and it seems that it scans the page, but when simple-scan tries to show the result a segmentation fault appears.

I am running simple-scan in version 3.16.2 on my arch linux (uname -sr: Linux 4.2.1-1-ARCH) with gnome 3.16.2.

I also downloaded the sources of simple-scan 3.18 and compiled it. The segmentation fault also appears in "scanner.vala" on line 1312 (private void do_read) when running in debug mode.

Scanning via xsane succeeded.

If I scan the same page via text mode in simple-scan, all is fine.

And I fixed it...

I made a stupid typo registering the model in brsaneconfig4
