Bug Description
Suppose you are having to scan several thousand pages, and you perform this using the ADF with loads of about 100 pages. After every load completes scanning, you go to the computer and save that file. But before you can start scanning the next load, you have to wait for several minutes until the actual save operation completes. This wasted time could be avoided if there is an option to save the document automatically after the pages from the ADF are scanned. That way, you would pre-enter the filename you want to save, and you would go back to the machine to place the next load only after the SCANNING & SAVING is complete.

This is similar to bug 552987 - basically it seems like a good idea for Simple Scan to always save in advance and just copy the file when the user chooses a filename.
