Bug Description

When scanning many pages usign an ADF, the machine may run out of memory and cause Simple Scan to crash if the pages are too many. Simple Scan should detect how much memory is available and stop scanning additional pages from the feeder if a critical memory utilization quota is reached.

Yes, it is very closely related. I see that I even commented there several years ago about an observation I had made . The only additional request in this bug is to stop the automatic feeding of pages once a memory limit is reached.

This leads me to another interesting idea. It would be great if instead of "All Pages From Feeder" the user had the option to choose how many pages from the feeder to get scanned automatically. So perhaps you may add this as a third option below "Single Page" and "All Pages From Feeder". One way to implement this would be to have a submenu where the user specifies the number of pages to be scanned, or alternatively, you can place a couple of predefined options, such as "10 Pages From Feeder", "20 Pages From Feeder", etc.
