support additional file formats when saving

This bug report exists to collect all requests for supporting more/other/better/... file formats when exporting/saving a file.

File formats that have been suggested (please update list):
* PNM
* DJVU
* RAW

The developers decided against an include-everything approach.
The list of file formats should be short by default.

Once there is a working plugin system the situation will be totally different.
Each and every file format is welcome to have its own plugin then.
Please see bug #521952 for plugin support.

Hello, I see you have not said anything on this bug for a few months. Ideally, adding support for new files, especially for open formats that could be available by default (as DJVU or *.oxps) which have their advantages over PDF. (do not know if there is linux support for WebP, but also be a good idea)

I think Tiff multipage CCIT G4 would be another format to support.
