Reindexing of acquired metadata

Bug Description

If acquirable and indexable metadata items are revised in a parent folder, the
properties tab of a Silva Document (Version) which acquires the metadata values
displays the correct values. However the service_catalog index of the Silva
Metadata item for the document version is not properly updated.

Samuel, since it looks like we'll be solving this in dlcms after all, could you
create an issue for it on launchpad? I'm not able to add issues there, it seems.

Was this ever taken care of, perhaps specifically for silva-dlcms?

Yes, IIRC there is a setting (off by default) to reindex inherited metadata on every edit. This is switched on by DLCMS, but because of the performance penalty we don't dare use this as a default in Silva itself. (Although I would *love* to see some data on a very large Silva deployment with a lot of editors editing to see how great the performance hit would be.)
