Bug Description

----- solution

This is only relevant for setups run after August 20 and
before August 30 !!!

If you have this problem, run setup again, to get newest IDE

Other packages are not affected.

------------------------------------------------------

I am using Sikuli 1.0.1 IDE
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit

I have a simple script, where I just go
click(<Image of start button>).
I hit run, and get a FindFailed Exception
(FindFailed ( can not find __CLICK-TO-CAPTURE__ on the screen. ))
I have no idea of how to fix it.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I tried to unselect the ImageThumbs options, but if I restart the selection isn't saved. That being said, If I don't close down it looks like the options are correct. Here is what I'm getting as an error now:

[error] C:\Users\shawn\Desktop\sikuli.sikuli_7880585495.png looks like a file, but not on disk. Assume it's text.
[error] Region.find(text): text search is currently switched off
[error] script [ sikuli ] stopped with error in line 4
[error] FindFailed ( Text search currently switched off )

Also posted screenshot of setup.

If I use the click(region) code sukuli works as normal

I did not use the bar onthe left, I typed in click() then hit the "take a screenshot" button

I reinstalled sikuli using the setup file and now, it works.
I am able to take screenshots and the screenshots are correctly saved in the sikuli file.
Tested on windows 7 64 bits.

On linux (Linux Mint 14 - 64 bits), the screenshot works but:
- taking a screenshot of a menu is hard, if I click on the menu, when the screenshot phase start, the menu is not always taken into account;
- when I run the script, nothing happens and sikuli ide closed without error messages.

Under Linux, from time to time, I've got the following error:
[error] Location: outside any screen (-3, 25) - subsequent actions might not work as expected

And when at looked at the SikuliLog file, some errors are printed:

[debug (9/5/13 10:14:40 AM)] ResourceLoaderBasic: loadLib: Found: VisionProxy
[error (9/5/13 10:14:40 AM)] ResourceLoaderBasic: loadLib: Fatal Error 110: loading: libVisionProxy.so
[error (9/5/13 10:14:40 AM)] ResourceLoaderBasic: loadLib: Since native library was found, it might be a problem with needed dependent libraries
/home/crystal/Sikuli/libs/libVisionProxy.so: libtesseract.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[error (9/5/13 10:14:40 AM)] Terminating SikuliX after a fatal error(110)! Sorry, but it makes no sense to continue!
If you do not have any idea about the error cause or solution, run again
with a Debug level of 3. You might paste the output to the Q&A board.
[debug (9/5/13 10:14:40 AM)] SikuliXFinal: cleanUp: 0

So, I installed tesseract.

But this errors should be reported to the user to allow him to understand that a package is missing...

@ycollet
pls. post new questions if the topic has nothing to do with the commented question.

--- menu screenshots
use the capture hotkey instead of shooting from the IDE

--- Location: outside any screen
should no longer be a problem with the latest build (run setup again)
If it still comes up pls. report a bug with some script example.

--- Tesseract missing
good point. I post a bug for that.
