1) No, SCF.Mix.First true DOES enable mixing.
Mix refers to mixing in the previous iterations DM/H with the output of the current iteration. If false, it *only* uses the current iteration output (no mixing), and if true it also uses the previous input.

2) Ok, good you have tested the scaling!
