Bug Description
When taking screenshots of windows on Ubuntu 10.10 (visual effects activated/compiz, Radiance theme activated) the corners of windows are opaque and not transparent.

Generating transparent corners is not possible when using compiz. If you are using compiz please try to switch to an alternative window manager, e.g. metacity (disable desktop effects).
It's a technical limitation. Metacity uses the XSHAPE extension ( http:// en.wikipedia. org/wiki/ Shape_extension ) to create non-rectangular windows and compiz uses compositing. It's easy to determine the shape in the first case but impossible to do
this when compositing is used.
All screenshot taking apps (gnome-screenshot, ksnapshot etc.) behave in the same way here. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
