Bug Description

Running Shutter from https://edge.launchpad.net/~shutter (0.80.1 rev 579), I get this error when trying to get a web screenshot:

Failed

Unable to capture website

/usr/bin/gnome-web-photo: line 29: 15696 Segmentation failt LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$MOZLIBPATH:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" /usr/bin/gnome-web-photo.real $@

I tested the beta ppa but the version was the same.

gnome-web-photo seems to be broken in jaunty.
I can confirm the same problems after installing firefox-3.5 from the repos.

You will get the same error when launching gnome-web-photo from the terminal:
gnome-web-photo --mode=photo --format=png debian.org test.png

(There should be an image file test.png in your current folder if that works)

Changed in shutter:
status: New → Invalid

running $ strace -o gnome-web-thumbnail-segfault-strace.log gnome-web-thumbnail http://google.com google.png
gives the attached stracelog.

I am getting the same problem using 0.8 version and jaunty.

Mario, the I reckon the problem is in gnome-web-photo.
Is there any fix for that ?

Same problem here with gnome-web-photo 0.6 and jaunty.

You are right. Shutter simply executes gnome-web-photo with given parameters so there is not much I can do here.
I don't know of any fix for that as well. It is working fine again in karmic...

I can reproduce the segmentation fault in Lucid, 32-bit, with xulrunner 1.9.2.7.

I had the same problem in Lucid, but it seems to be fixed now. I'm running Shutter version 0.86.4 Rev.906.

@Serrano Pereira

Is this actually fixed in maverick now or is it still broken?
