Allow multi-object selection with the select tool

Just realized that the select tool doesn't allow you to do multi-selection - which is rather inconvenient if you want to apply an action/property to a group of objects.

This would be a nice feature, indeed. But this is really hard (time intensive) to do because the Drawing Tool is designed to handle one active item/object.
I think we should retarget this to one of the future releases in order to be able to release 0.80 in the next weeks.

We should retarget this one, because it's definitely too much work for now if we want to release 0.80 before christmas ;-)

Don't know what milestone fits best currently.
