Bug Description

I set my setting to copy screenshot into the clipboard when I take a screenshot and try to paste the screenshot into Telegram shutter crashes and closes unexpectedly

I can't reproduce it. Could you please attach the log output (start Shutter from command line) which is added during the crash?

Possibly it is related to something borked in Mint 19.3, since there are already two reports and both are Mint 19.3 users (other report see https://bugs.launchpad.net/shutter/+bug/1902160).
