Bug Description
any attempt to copy a screenshot to clipboard results in crash of the program:
[~]$ shutter
WARNING: Image::ExifTool is missing --> writing Exif information will be disabled!
WARNING: Gtk2::AppIndicator is missing --> there will be no icon showing up in the status bar when running Unity!
GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 137 was not found when attempting to remove it at /usr/bin/shutter line 7249.
The program 'shutter' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
(Details: serial 3946 error_code 3 request_code 18 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
System Infos:
[~]$ cat /etc/issue
Linux Mint 18.1 Serena \n \l
[~]$ uname -a
Linux LIFEBOOK 4.8.0-39-generic #42~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Mon Feb 20 15:06:07 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[~]$ dpkg -l | grep shutter
ii shutter 0.93.1-1ubuntu1
I think that this is a problem with your X configuration (or maybe some interplay between the X configuration and Shutter). At least I cannot reproduce this issue on my machine... Since Shutter's development seems dead, I'd recommend to attack the problem from the X side and try to get some support from the Mint community.
