shutter --active doesn't work on ubuntu 16.04

Bug Description
When I try to take a screenshot of the active window in shutter on ubuntu 16.04 by using the command: shutter --active in the CLI, which I have bound to a alt-printscreen, but tested using CLI, it doesn't work and I get the following error message (also shown in attachment):
Error while taking the screenshot.
No window with the name pattern 'shutter' detected.
However, the other shutter commands I have tested appear to work, such as shutter --selection.
