Shotwell doesn't respect system locale time format

Binary package hint: shotwell

ru_RU.utf8 locale uses 24-hour clock.

But Shotwell doesn't use this. E.g. if I import a picture taken 14:11 (2:11 PM), Shotwell displays like it was taken at 2:11 (2:11 AM).

Thank you for your bug report, I can confirm the issue -- it still exists in the current development version of shotwell that should soon become 0.8. A similar bug report already exists upstream, you can track it and make comments at: http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/2462

It turns out that this issue is specific to the Russian translation, which hasn't provided a translation for Shotwell's time format. I've ticketed this here:

We've now fixed this in the Russian translation upstream. The fix will be present in the 0.8 release.

Shotwell now uses system locale time formats, but unfortunately some of the translation strings haven't been updated to match the speaker's locale. I'm hoping that in a future release this will be improved.
