Bug Description

Binary package hint: shotwell

1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10

2) apt-cache policy shotwell
shotwell:
  Installed: 0.7.2-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.7.2-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 0.7.2-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Device: HTC Eris
Carrier: Verizon
Country / Language: USA / English
OS / Browser / build number (if applicable): Android / WebKit 3.1 / 2.37.605.4 CL 185970 release-keys

3) What I expected to happen is when I plug an HTC Eris into a laptop via USB, and press on the phone LCD "Mount as a disk drive", all available photos on the phone would be shown in F-Spot, as usual.

4) What happened instead is Shotwell came up and did not display all of my photos, only one. However, I have many photos on the phone (please see attached screenshot.png).

Hi,

The screenshot you've supplied is listing the files in the DCIM/.thumbnails directory. Can you provide a screenshot of the files in the DCIM directory, so we can see the filenames? Also, before you take the screenshot, can you enable viewing titles in Shotwell (View -> Titles)? Thanks.

I am seeing the same problem but with a Kingston 8GB SD card. Four JPEG files on the card, but shotwell is only showing one. I am attaching a screenshot.

The SD card was written by a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 camera. There are no .thumbnails directories.

I stopped shotwell, moved the pictures from the 102_PANA directory to the 101_PANA directory and restarted shotwell. Now shotwell saw all four pictures.

I stopped shotwell, moved the pictures from the 101_PANA direcgtory back to the 102_PANA directory and restarted shotwell. Again shotwell saw all four pictures.

I took another picture with the camera and then reinserted the card and started shotwell. Shotwell saw the fifth picture.
