Bug Description

From the official gitolite documentation:

"NOTE on package manager installs: make sure you get gitolite v3.x. The correct package you want may be called "gitolite3", even though "gitolite" also exists. If you want to know what the latest gitolite version is, the gitolite CHANGELOG will tell you."

http://gitolite.com/gitolite/gitolite.html#install

However, the Ubuntu Server Guide instructs the reader to install the gitolite package (aka 2.x): https://help.ubuntu.com/14.04/serverguide/git.html#git-installing-gitolite

(gitolite3 package exists in trusty: http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/gitolite3 )

The gitolite package doesn't even exist in 18.04 so this is now an actual error instead of being misinformation.
