Bug Description

Midi passthru works fine, but when I try to record a pattern I get very erratic results.

The position marker seems to start on the left and move incredibly fast to the right.

Notes played seem to have random position and length across the pattern editor.

Let me know if you need more information, preferably along with instructions on how to produce it. I'm using seq24 0.9.0. Rosegarden works fine with the same setup.

You should try to increase pattern length which is 1 tempo by default. (http://seq24.wikispaces.com/Tutorial). If it works fine in Rosegarden I think it could be fixed.

What kernel are you using ? Are you 32- or 64-bits ? What MIDI device are you using as a source for recording patterns ? I can't test it right know because I'm working on other features but if you give more detailed information I will be able to check where the issue comes from.

I increased the pattern length already (to 4 or 8 IIRC) but it didn't help.

Running a 32bit bit kernel, Linux 2.6.30.

My MIDI device is an EMU10K1 MPU-401 (UART), provided by an SB Live!.

Let me know if you need more information.

So, if you add notes with the mouse it works perfect, but on live recording it does not.
There maybe is a bug that seq24 is starting to record midi input on pos. 0 when the sequence is not playing, and then mixing it with the recorded input? Could you please upload a saved sequence ?

Intriguingly I haven't been able to reproduce this and everything is working as it should now.

Let's close this until I encounter it again...
