Bug Description

Hello all,

Like what I said above. I've installed Octavia, just called everything by Octavia endpoint and disabled lbaasV2 in neutron, does load balancing policy support Octavia endpoint?. Thank you in advance.

Thanks

The Senlin load balancing policy supports octavia endpoint since Queens:

Hi Duc,
I can see “Added support to Octavia as the load-balancer driver.”, but is there any example template to create lb_policy with octavia endpoint?. I just see example template with lbaasV2. Thanks

The policy template does not change when using octavia. The same example template works for both lbaasV2 and octavia. Starting with Queens release, Senlin calls octavia driver instead of lbaasV2 when you create a load-balancing policy.

I glad to hear that!, one more question about lb_policy, when I use lb_policy, I scale-out my cluster, will senlin automatically add additional instance into LB? and vice versa.

Yes, any nodes added during scale-out are added to the LB pool. Any nodes deleted during scale-in are removed form LB pool.

Yes, thank for your answer, have a nice day. I hope auto-scaling of senlin is stable:D
