Bug Description

As of now when i start Scribes to create new file its contents are autosaved in Desktop folder. So, when using "save us" dialogue i have to navigate from ~/Desktop to folder i need to save file in. When i need to create multiple files in some folder i have to repeat navigation for each file. Would be very nice to add command line option which will be setting default save folder for Scribes.

I'll implement this for version 0.5 when I rewrite the command line features.

Okay, I read this again and I'm not sure I understand it. If you want to create new files in folder you can do this

cd folder
scribes -n newfile1 newfile2 newfile3 ...

Files automatically created by Scribes will always be placed on the Desktop. If you don't want that to happen then you have to create the files yourselves in the folder you want.

what i want is to be able to simply start Scribes in certain folder so such features as "quick open" or "create file" or "save as" would happen in that folder instead of ~/Desktop. I can reach same effect if i will open some file in target folder or create new in it, but imo there would be good to have an option to do it in the way like:

scribes --dir ~/folder
