Add a commandline option to go to line n after open
could be useful for example for ipython
(ex in ipython configuration file add
ipy_editors.

If you open multiple files, will all the files go to the
same line?
Also bear in mind that Scribes remembers the last
position and line number the when the file was last open.
It might be simpler to use ctrl+i to jump to a specific line
when a file is opened.
