need page/image browser in image loop

need a way to browse fwd and back in the image stack,
just to see where you are when you've lost your place
in the book on the current spread when the last image
taken does not (cannot) tell you.

this happens often, and people have to start over,
because they don't see an easy way to find their
place when a book with tight binding has been
fumbled.

preferably, you'd be able to browse attributes and
assert where necessary/helpful too!
