Cursor keys have unexpected effects

Bug Description
The manpage says I can move it with the keyboard for precision. I assume that means the cursor keys, but when I press the cursors the ruler moves in unexpected ways. For me:
- pressing up moves it up and left at the same time
- pressing right moves it up
- pressing down moves it left
- pressing left moves it up and left (but more left than up moves it)
