RFE: Make pressing space key visible

Bug #657375 reported by Bert Van Vreckem on 2010-10-09

Bug Description

Pressing the space key is not quite visible in Screenkey. Some keyboard combinations use the space bar, e.g. Gnome-do with Super+Space. Screenkeys shows this as "Super+ ", which is confusing. It would be nice to have a visual representation for a space (maybe as an option), e.g. the Unicode character U+2423: ␣

Keep up the good work!

Nice suggestion, I'm working on a feature to provide many modes/profiles to show keys, as Raw mode, Vim mode, Emacs mode, and others. Then I can include your suggestion in some of them.

Thanks Bert

I think it would be also nice to have a visible Backspace key.
eg. the unicode character U+21D0: ⇐

As far as there are no other supported modes the following patch will do the trick to show both spaces and backspaces.
