Bug Description

For example, when I press the menu key – which I configured as my Compose Key – it shows an "@" in Screenkey's OSD-kinda strip thing. Likewise, using Alt-[key] combinations will show wrong things, e.g. Alt-w or Alt-l (for ł) becomes "Ƴ" (Latin Capital Letter Y with Hook), or Alt-g (for ŋ) is shown as "o", and Alt-h (for ħ) as ʱ (Modifier Letter Small H with Hook) ...

I'm starting back to work on this problem, is a integration problem between Xmodmap and Gnome/Kde.
