Numbers with numeric keypad display strange symbols

Bug #617793 reported by Nicola Jelmorini on 2010-08-14

Bug Description

If I use the upper row of keys, Screenkey display the corresponding numbers correctly (see first attachment <Numbers_with_upper_keys_row.png>)

Instead, if I use the numeric keypad on the right of my keyboard, Screenkey display strange symbols (see second attachment <Numbers_with_numeric_keypad.png>)

I use Ubuntu 10.04 64bit

Thanks Nicola,

I can confirm this, I test it with a French keyboard layout and I see other strange symbols.

Changed in screenkey:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Medium

Adding the correspondent keys to the REPLACE_KEYS list at should fix the problem (see attachment).

Hi farrer,

I have added the "diff" to the file, but some keys are still missing: [0] [5] [/] [*] [+] [-] [.]

Thanks for your patch Farrer,

I'm currently working on Xlib for better integration with Gnome and prevent problems like this. But for now I think I'll add your patch and I create a new release.
