Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "setup.py", line 26, in <module>
    from setuptools import setup, find_packages
ImportError: No module named setuptools

**** Installation failed. Aborting package creation.

Install it:
sudo apt-get install python-setuptools

what Ubuntu version are you using? Is it up to date? This problem should have been fixed three months ago.

This works and passes the error mentioned above!
README.txt should be updated ,though, to include the above apt-get command.
