Bug Description

There is a setting for the server time zone under Server > Calendar Settings.

This seems to need to be set manually. I believe it could be set automatically from the current timezone as set in the system's configuration, and perhaps as an option, set it up manually.

The automatic, "matches this server" setup would be for local installations that match geographically their intended users' location.

The optional "set up manually the timezone" would be for SchoolTool installations hosted on servers that are geographically elsewhere (in another timezone) than the intended users' location.

Added a simple initialization of preferences to read timezone from /etc/timezone
This works on Ubuntu/Debian but not on other systems.

The fix was released as schooltool 2.6.0.1 to the relevant PPAs, see http://book.schooltool.org/install-2_0.html
Unfortunately it was not accepted into 13.10
