Period order on report incorrect

Bug Description

The period order on the absence by day report does not display in the correct order, either by time or period. We have 7 periods A, B, C, D, E, F, G (HR for elem). Attendance is taken each period, please see the attached attendance by day report.

Note that the most satisfactory fix to this would sniff out what kind of timetable is used -- if it is the same every day you can sort by the actual sequence, but if it is not, it pretty much has to be semi-arbitrary -- like the current solution, which is to sort alphabetically.

Dear Tom,

I am attaching a screen grab of the timetable and the report. Our timetable
is different each day, however, it is still not sorted alphabetically as
the blocks are name A, B, C, D, E, F, G. It would also be nice to have the
block the courses are in listed with the courses so we wouldn't have to
cross reference to know which class/section the kids are tardy or absent.

The fix to the attendance report hasn't been released yet (according to this bug report) and thanks for reminding us to fix the student detail report. They should both be released soon.

I don't think we can make the default report list courses because we don't know that the courses meet in the same period each day. Going forward it might make sense to make some reports that assume simple timetables.
