Section should stay the same when switching between Gradebook and Journal

Navigation differs between the Journal and the Gradebook. In the Journal, your sections are presented a links horizontally arranged across the screen. In Gradebook, you select your section with a drop down menu (nicer, imho). If you are in taking attendance in one section and then switch to the gradebook, you do not stay in the same section. This is annoying for me, since I most often want to take attendance and then mark grades with the same section.

Could you assign this one to me? I think the best way to handle this is to have the journal call into the gradebook code to retrieve and save the last visited section as the journal already depends on the gradebook.

-1 on the implementation. Gradebook already depends on the journal (not the other way around), let's not exercise inter-dependencies.

One way to solve this would be changing destination of the "Gradebook" link to a proper section's gradebook on Journal pages.

This should be part of core, not the gradebook or journal.

When I add student that is missing in group to the group, it doesn't appear in the gradebook.

Removing an item from a list is also cumbersome, may be a marker widget should be added for multiple add/delete of items
