Copy scores into report sheet

From what I understand, after applying a report sheet to a section, teachers need to then go and manually fill in the report sheet. Those manual entries will then show up on the report card. Is this the case? Is there an easier way to transfer grades from a report sheet colum?

At the moment, in all of my sections, when the summary sheet is created to add all the final marks for each sheet, that final average mark is the final mark that I want to show up on the report card. I assume that this is likely the case for each section that would be created unless there is only one sheet and the important marks would be the averages for that sheet. The report sheet in essence is a snap shot of a section at a particular time during or at the end of the course.

Since this is the setup in our school, i find that it would be helpful to have some way of updating the blank report sheet with the summary sheet averages (or a sheet of choice). Doing this type of copy would save switching back and forth between the summary sheet and the report sheet while trying to remember and fill in a list of grades (and possibly make mistakes). Maybe these columns can be linked in some way to the average of an existing sheet. Looking at the report sheet now I see that if I click on the activity name a menu shows up and it would make sense to use this menu to do the copy of the grades of the selected column.

Please let me know if I am missing a way that is already set up in schooltools to do this or if i am generalizing the setup too much.

I think it might be easiest to do this from the target column header, with a dialog to select the copied column.
