Can't delete Twitter account

Bug Description
Twitter doesn't connect for me, and hasn't for months, so I figured I'd delete my account and try to add it again with new settings. Unfortunately, I'm unable to delete it. I tried both choosing Delete from the dropdown arrow next to the account under My Accounts and going to Edit... and attempting to delete from the dialogue that popped up. Any way for me to delete this account manually and/or get Twitter to connect again? I'm currently attempting to connect to <email address hidden> using port 443 for SSL.
