Bug Description
After some time of despicable dial-up I've finally gotten access to more or less good Internet connection. For some time.
Here is the resume of using sameplace over a dial-up connection: DISASTER
Application: thunderbird
1. You need to be already connected before starting thunderbird for sameplace to connect. If you launch thunderbird before your connection is established, sameplace starts to go through the motions (literally as well as figuratively: the connecting bar keeps going on and on and on...), but nothing happens. It won't connect even after connection has established. You need to restart thunderbird.
2. The only thing sameplace gets right is disconnection: when it's connected and the line goes dead - it goes offline on the spot.
3. But it won't go online after the connection is back. You need to manually click on the green spot and select All->Online.
Broadband:
By the same token, sameplace won't AUTO-reconnect when the connection goes off-on. (See my previous post on this)
